A personal project to create an engine created in AS3 to create games along the lines of Zork and Colossal Cave Adventure in. Still in early stages.

 

XML-based: Everything from Commands (Look, take, drop), Items, and Rooms are are parsed from XML documents and can be modified for anything the creator desires.

 

 

Digital games and media I have created in various engines.
Unless noted otherwise, all projects were made as Student Projects at DigiPen Institute of Technology.

The player taking on the role of a looter, the game focuses on the exploration of a condemned mansion as the player tries to locate the fabled treasure of the mansion. But strange things are afoot in the manor....

Block vs Block

A dual-layered strategy game best described as Blokus meets Advanced Wars. Two players take turns placing pieces of various shapes on a grid. Then, using the pieces that they placed, build and move units along them with the goal of capturing the enemy's base.

Players are given a challenge of rerouting colored Lasers to their Respected goals using these three types of mirrors:

  • Moveable and Rotatable

  • Immobile but Rotatable

  • Immobile and Rigid

Puzzles were set up to try to take a less obvious approach than most Laser Puzzles do, using Red Herrings and multipe colored Lasers to throw the Player off track.

Under attack by the evil Cubies, players must utilize their ability to generate three types of cover to survive. Each block of cover affects the bullet that passes through it, either duplicating the shot, speeding it up, or curving it. And, most importantly, the effects stack.

Cody Vs The Doombox

His city infested with terrible music, wannabe rock star Cody sets out with his trusty guitar (read: tennis racket) to combat the threat.

 

An game focused on the balance between responsive controls and its aesthetic of a guy with a tennis racket power-sliding through enemies.

 

The Levels were made to reward skilled players who were able to time their movements correctly to get to the end of the level in the fastest time with the most points achieved along the way.

Mana Flow

An RPG Combat System Prototype focused on the use and control of the Magic Points in the battle. Using Magic Points does not remove them from play, instead they flow to a Neutral Pool, where either side can pull them out for their own use.
